MANILA, Philippines — Suspended Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) director-general Gerald Bantag on Sunday mentioned he would moderately die than be jailed over his alleged involvement within the homicide of radio commentator Percival “Percy Lapid” Mabasa.
The suspended BuCor chief alsoreiterated his innocence.
“Will I enable myself to be imprisoned? Simply kill me if they are saying that I’m their goal. The federal government and I’ll simply find yourself making an attempt to kill one another,” Bantag mentioned in Filipino in his “Komentunying” interview with Anthony Taberna.
Bantag was suspended by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla, to permit for an investigation into the loss of life of Crisanto Villamor Jr.
