Signaling the power of the Ok-pop wave, and its relevance for Europe’s largest luxurious manufacturers, Gucci has signed on Hanni, lead singer of NewJeans, as its latest model ambassador.
She is to make her first look for the Italian model on Tuesday, when it levels a repeat of its “Cosmogonie” present in Seoul.
Generally billed as the following Blackpink, NewJeans is a five-member lady group that launched its first single, “Consideration,” final July. It has already racked up 30 million view on YouTube, and reward for the complicity of the members and their pure rapport.
“Hanni’s tackle music and style type really encompasses the model’s motif of embracing genuine individuality and self-expression,” Gucci stated in a brief launch shared completely with WWD.
The Italian model added that the group “continues to interact with the general public with their vibrant charisma.”
Hanni joins a glowing slate of Gucci model ambassadors headlined by Harry Kinds, Dakota Johnson, Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Billie Eilish, Chris Lee, Miley Cyrus and Jared Leto. Its different South Korean ambassadors embrace “Squid Sport” actor Lee Jung-Jae and musical artist Kai.
The opposite 4 members of NewJeans are Minji, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein. Its first EP, launched in August, broke a number of information for lady group debuts in South Korea.
Competitors for Ok-pop stars amongst style manufacturers appears to be heating up.
