In an announcement issued by the regional climate division stated “Average to Heavy rain with thunderstorm and lightning is more likely to happen at one or two locations over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram districts of Tamil Nadu through the subsequent three hours.”
It additional added that average rain with thunderstorm and lightning is more likely to happen at one or two locations over Thiruvannamalai, Ranipet, Villupuram, Virudhunagar, Theni, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram and Thirunelveli districts of Tamil Nadu through the subsequent three hours.
The assertion added that mild to average rain with thunderstorm and lightning is more likely to happen at one or two locations over Vellore, Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam Mayiladuthurai, Pudukottai, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Tiruchirapalli, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Madurai, Sivagangai and Kanyakumari districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and Karaikal through the subsequent three hours.
